Most people are familiar with the Dry July campaign as a way to collect money and support cancer patients by urging participants to abstain from alcohol throughout the month of July. An inventive solution was proposed by a radiation therapist from Sydney, Australia
Mark Udovitch made the decision to let his hair grow long in order to contribute it to the fight against cancer after one of his patients expressed how uneasy she felt after losing her hair. On Friday, July 29th, the therapist will shave off the two and a half years of growth he’s put into his locks. Udovitch chose to reproduce a number of celebrity photos with his dark brown hair in order to increase awareness. So far, the campaign has raised $20k, but their target is $100k.
